Your tuned into New Life Radio 77.7. This is the day that the Lord has made and I have chosen to rejoice and be glad in it. As the count down continues to the hottest play in town The Passion ( 43days to go). Today is Ash Wednesday. This is a day where you will see people walking around with the cross on there forehead and this also starts off lent. I was asked once if I celebrated Ash Wednesday or lent? My response was no Lent requires giving up something for 40 days ( aka fasting) and as a Christian we are to fast on a regular basis through out the year . I don't wear the ash because I am sealed by the blood of Christ because I have accepted him and he is the Lord of my life.
OK with that said i truly hope you enjoy this beautiful day that God has given us. Remember to seize every opportunity to spread the gospel of Jesus. be the salt of the earth that you are meant to be. Today's song is another one form the artist Vicky Beeching here is Deliver.

16 “And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. 18 Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
Glory be to God...Well spoken and well written Cam. I encounter all of the "religious" folk at work.All of the, yeah I believe in the Lord too folks. By these same people I encounter the same questions. They have no biblical knowledge...not even basics. But praise be to God that He counted me, ME, out of all people, worthy to be an ambassador of His word. He has used me to minister and convict the souls I encounter. I have seen humility from pride and repentance from arrogance. Its a gradual process but the Spirit of God is reeling them in. I'm nick-named "Spiritual Mike", and though many come jokingly, there are a select few of which I physically see the Word of God penetrating. Keep them and I in your prayers. Love you with all the Christ that is within me...thank you for adding me to see this...it is very encouraging.
